ABSTRACT

This paper focuses on the SEM-applied management articles published in the last five years in Hungary. Altogether 1133 articles from seven journals were screened in order to have a picture of the current state of SEM methodology in Hungarian business journals. Finally, 35 papers were included in the research sample. Three main areas were analysed. Firstly, the distribution and the thematical analysis highlighted that the higher the journals prestige is the higher the SEM-publication ratio is. Secondly neither the chosen SEM methodology nor the analytics software is explicitly specified in all cases. Thirdly, visualizing the research networks has emphasized that only a few scientific communities apply SEM methodology in their research.
